Fast forward to twenty years from now you’re going to look back on photographs as a statement of how you lived your life.
What I consider to be the best moments are NOT JUST the smiling moments next to the people you love but the ones where you’re giggling, climbing mountains, running around field somewhere, squeezing THE LOVE OF YO LIFE, etc. It may involve your hair blowing in the wind, your nose scrunches, the dimples you get when you smile really big, or just simply you being embraced by the person you feel most safe with. It’s these moments that evoke more than just a memory but a feeling when you look at them. That’s what I find most valuable about taking photographs: The ability to capture the way a moment felt, and when you’re old, grey and maybe have forgotten a few of those moments you can look back and remember.
In my opinion, picking a photographer shouldn’t be like choosing a grocery store where you decide which is the cheapest option, which is closest, etc. but rather like picking your friends. You choose people who’s personality fits, who’s life and character looks a lot like yours. You want someone you can laugh with, feel comfortable showing your vulnerable parts with, someone you can quote movie lines with, and someone you can trust to make you feel beautiful and pull the right emotions from you into photos.
That’s what my life goal is. I want to plan with you, laugh with you, and capture who you are. I am adventurous, partly in the sense that I love the outdoors and finding hidden treasures, but mostly in the sense that I’m up for trying to new things and I’m constantly intrigued and motivated by the fact that everyone/every couple has something different to bring to the table and how I can capture that. I want to bring you photos with SOUL, BEAUTY, and AUTHENTICITY.
So get to know me. Ask me questions about sessions and weddings. Ask me my weirdest quality, or my favorite musician. I’m a human who wants to capture the humanity in you.
